Ingenico received qSparc certification for their complete range of POS Terminals in India

Ingenico Group (Euronext: FR0000125346 – ING), the global leader in seamless payment, today announced that it has received qSparc certification for their complete range of POS terminals including Android devices.

qSparc certification is the new mode of payment that captures low value transactions and encourage more Electronic payments. This new initiative of payment acceptance (for both contact & contactless payments), is led by NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) towards the development of the payments ecosystem.

The new development magnifies payment acceptance across consumer utility environment especially for projects like metros implementation, bus ticketing, toll collection, retail payments, etc. This empowers customers to make hassle-free payments on any mode of transportation where the amount is less than INR 2000. It is not only a queue buster but also encourages cashless transactions as well as keeping their card/personal data secured.

For acquirers, they could run their vendor agnostic application across any segment and thus enhancing their scope for convenient and smoother payment collections across verticals like restaurants, retail, ticketing, utilities, etc. They can easily integrate with multiple payment channels including loyalty programs to offer comprehensive Payment acceptance mode to their customers through these upgraded payment devices.

The certification demonstrates Ingenico’s ability to provide a seamless end-user experience to pay and receive payment at all payment touch points. Consumers can simply tap, swipe or insert their card in any Ingenico device. With this one-step integration, different payment methods can be accepted across all channels.
